Diener & Diener Architects

The architectural office Diener & Diener pays close attention to the architectural history of a city and modernity as it develops new types of buildings. “Our designs produce a progressive sequence, whose overall effect can be described as controversial. And though the specific qualities of the design can be attributed to the object’s form, the actual design process deals with questions that reach beyond form alone: our design process seeks to establish a correlation between the building project and the city’s social cohesion. The conclusions we draw from this process establish the framework for the architecture and the urban planning for the specific project.

The results of this focus can be seen in the projects they realized on the Java and KNSM Island in Amsterdam, the Basel Markthalle Tower, or the residential building of the Mustersiedlung Hadersdorf, Vienna, the university building in Malmö or the Mémorial de la Shoah in Drancy.

Today, Diener & Diener employs 50 architects in Basel and Berlin from many different nations. Roger Diener established the office Diener & Diener Architects in 1980. In 1998. Roger Diener has led the office Diener & Diener with Terese Erngaard, Michael Roth, and Andreas Rüedi since 2011.

Hans Kollhoff Architekten

Hans Kollhoff plays an important role in the European cultural debate. Of all the European architects trained under the influence of the masters active in the ‘50s and ‘60s, the figure of Hans Kollhoff, the architect from Berlin and student of O.M. Ungers, stands out as unique. Creator of works that have met with widespread acclaim on the part of international critics, rewarded with increasingly important commissions, Kollhoff is an exponent of research whose roots can be traced back to the great architects of European and German rationalism. His architecture is characterized by a classical building-style and the use of solid, traditional materials

Together with over 50 collaborators, he today works on a wide-ranging program of building projects both in Germany and other European countries. The work of Hans Kollhoff has been widely published in the international press.

AJArquitectos

André Campos Joana Mendes - Arquitectos, is a multidisciplinary office dedicated to the study, research and exercise of Architecture, Urbanism, Design and Art.
Every project of AJArquitecots has its own history. Whims of fashion should not lead the architect to the creation of forms and compositions empty of meaning. Instead, AJArquitectos tries to understand every project’s genius loci.

By understanding the surrounding, a harmony can be sought and found between the surroundings and the project. In doing so, the surroundings will enhance the quality of the project and the project will enhance the quality of the surroundings.

This vision of André Camos and Joana Mendes has led the office to the design of projects which have been awarded nationally and internationally and published numerous times, participating in several exhibitions and conferences.
